We are looking for a description-oriented and reliable transcriptionist to join our team. Transcriber’s responsibilities include creating accurately written versions of audio and video recordings, reviewing and editing the moments made by speech recognition software, and identifying any discrepancies. You must have a good typing speed and great attention to detail and must be able to keep all sensitive information confidential.
To succeed as a transcriptionist, you must be disciplined and have excellent listening skills. Excellent candidates have excellent reading and editing skills as well as the ability to concentrate for long periods of time.
Transcription Responsibilities:
- Understanding the customer’s specifications and noting any formatting or notation requests before completing the transcription.
- Completing the sheet in a timely manner and reviewing drafts for any spelling, grammar or drafting errors, as well as other inconsistencies.
- Comply with all confidential guidelines and respect sensitive information.
- Show up on time for scheduled meetings and court proceedings.
- Participating in transcription software updates and participating in refresher workshops as required.
- Communicating with the customer or supervisor when problems occur.
- Submitting complete drafts to customers and correcting any errors as per their feedback.
- Keep typing skills sharp by completing regular typing exercises.
Transcriber Requirements:
- High School Diploma.
- Degree, Associate’s degree, or additional courses may be required.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Express Sale and other software.
- A good typing speed and excellent reading skills.
- A high degree of professionalism and an excellent work ethic.
- Detail-oriented and time-driven.
- Ability to concentrate for long periods of time.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
